Whether you are attending your first appointment or returning for review, being well prepared can help ensure your consultation runs smoothly and that you get the most from your time with Dr Dallalana.
If you are seeing Dr Dallalana for the first time, you will require a valid referral from your GP or another medical specialist.
A current referral is required to be eligible for a Medicare rebate and helps provide important background information about your condition.
You may still see Dr Dallalana for a consultation without a referral (for e.g. if referred by an allied health practitioner) however the Medicare rebate for the consultation will not be available. If surgery or another procedure is required later, a referral will be needed prior to that to allow refund from private healthcare funds and Medicare.
To support a thorough assessment, please bring:
Including when they started, how they have progressed, and how they impact your daily activities
Your scans will be explained in the context of your condition
Assessment of movement, strength, and function
Clear explanation of your condition and available management options
This may include physiotherapy, further investigations, or discussion of surgical options
Consultation fees are payable on the day of your appointment. A portion of the fee can usually be claimed back from Medicare if you have a valid referral. We accept payment using EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cash. There are no credit card surcharges.
Note that fees for consultations with specialists are not covered by private healthcare policies.
